Concert Captured in State of the Art High Definition at the Historic 
Orpheum Theater in Omaha 
(New York, NY – July 8, 2015)  This summer, public television stations throughout the U.S. will air Mannheim Steamroller 30/40 Live. The concert special marks two anniversaries for the hugely successful act; their debut album, Fresh Aire, was released four decades ago. Ten years later, Mannheim released Mannheim Steamroller Christmas, their 1st holiday album, to huge success. “30/40 Live” celebrates the group’s history and continuing strength as a vibrant touring entity with performances of selections from their deep, 120-plus catalog of releases. A companion album, “30/40,” has been released as well, comprising a selection of songs that span Mannheim’s career.
Combining interviews and behind-the scenes segments with concert footage Mannheim Steamroller 30/40 Live will air on PBS stations this summer, and a DVD of the special will be released on October 15th.
The program was captured in high definition and recorded in surround sound over two evenings last December at the magnificent 100-year-old Orpheum Theater in Omaha, NE, hometown of Mannheim Steamroller and American Gramaphone the group’s label.
“30/40 Live” is a comprehensive look back at the incredibly successful career of Chip Davis and his Mannheim Steamroller, and a perfect introduction to the group’s oeuvre for those who are experiencing the group’s music for the first time. Mannheim Steamroller – a tradition of generations.

A musical prodigy who wrote his first song at age 6, Chip Davis went on to form the American Gramaphone label in 1974, which has been widely credited with launching the New Age Music genre. A multiplatinum selling artist himself, Davis’ creation Mannheim Steamroller has sold more than 40 million albums alone, and in 1991 was awarded the Grammy for Fresh Aire 7.
