CELEBRATE SPRING AT THE MORSE: ENJOY TWO WEEKEND OPEN HOUSES AND LIVE MUSIC ON FREE FRIDAY NIGHTS

WINTER PARK—The Morse Museum’s celebration of spring begins March 18, the first day of a three-day open house held in conjunction with the annual Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival.

The Museum continues its observance of this season of rebirth and renewal by inviting the public to additional special events at which visitors can view the collection at no charge, walk among Tiffany leaded-glass windows ablaze with spring flowers and linger in Louis Comfort Tiffany’s serenely beautiful chapel interior from the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago. Programming includes live music, tours and other programs that enrich the experience.

For six consecutive spring Friday evenings (March 25 through April 29), visitors can enjoy not only free admission from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. but also live music from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. In addition to the music on those nights, the Morse will offer curator tours of the exhibition Louis Comfort Tiffany’s Laurelton Hall at 7 p.m. The April 8 programming also includes a family tour of selected galleries and a demonstration on the technique of making leaded-glass lampshades with a free take-home art activity for participants.
