Yesterday via Facebook live stream, they unveiled plans for a North American summer tour. The headline run will kick off on August 1 at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC and include shows at New York City’s Webster Hall on August 2 and The Novo in Los Angeles on August 23. Conscious is the follow up to Broods’ 2014 debut album, Evergreen, which contained the singles “Bridges” and “Mother & Father” and climbed into the Top 10 of Billboard’s Alternative Albums chart. Joel Little (Lorde, Sam Smith, Ellie Goulding), who produced Evergreen, served as Executive Producer on Conscious, producing many of the tracks. Additional producers include Broods, Alex Hope (Troye Sivan) and Captain Cuts. The new album features a duet with Tove Lo and a song the band co-wrote with fellow New Zealander Lorde.
