Registration Now Underway for Summer Theater Intensive Performance Camp Hosted at the Catskill Mountain Foundation

Hunter, NY – Presented by Joseph Baker of Broadway Youth Ensemble and Leorah and Jordan Haberfield of A Time to Shine Cabaret is Broadway in the Mountains, a new intensive theatre performance camp for children and young adultsIn addition to Baker, other renowned teachers and coaches expected to be part of this intensive summer camp include Juilliard faculty member, Badiene MagazinerBroadway voice teacherAmelia Demayo; and director and choreographer, Janine Molinari. The two week-long campsaffectionately titled “Cabaret” and “Triple Threat, will he hosted at the Catskill Mountain Foundation in Hunter, New York from July 10-16 and July 17-23, 2016, respectively. 
Broadway in the Mountains uses a unique approach to teaching by drawing on the expertise of seasoned Broadway performers and coaches. In addition to learning proper performance technique, participants will learn how to deal with common obstacles such as nervousness and stage fright in a fun and supportive atmosphere.Two current Broadway stars, Alex Brightman, acting the lead role in School Of Rock, and Liz Larsen, playing Genie Klien in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, will host one-day workshops for the attending campers.
The first week, “Cabaret,” July 10-16, concentrates on skills used for audition and performing solos. The second week, “Triple Threat,”  July 17-23,focuses on skills used for performing as an actor, singer and dancer.
“If you love singing, dancing and acting and are looking for a way to develop your skills as a Broadway performer, this program is the one for you. Not only are you doing something you love, but you will be expanding your capabilities in this educational summer camp with the best teachers and coaches Broadway has to offer,” said Joseph Baker, Artistic Director, Broadway Youth Ensemble.
Young performers between the ages of 10 and 18 with a passion for the performing arts are encouraged to sign up now for this one or two week intensive performance camp, as spaces are limited and are filling up quickly.
The Catskill Mountain Foundation which has organized a number offine arts and chamber music programs for many years, is making its first foray into programs related to professional music theater. “At Athe Foundation, we are pleased to welcome Broadway in the Mountains. We are excited to host a number of New York’s top coaches, directors and choreographers from the Broadway community for this two week summer intensive performance camp,” Pam Weisberg, Performing Arts Director, Catskill Mountain Foundation notes.

Broadway in the Mountains is a week-long performance intensive camp in the beautiful town of Hunter NY, for young performers ages 10-18.
