In a review of the band’s recent show at London’s O2 Arena, NME observed, “their show is a masterclass in creativity and passion.”
Today, Vevo premiered the video for “Warmth,” a track from Bastille’s new album, Wild World (Virgin Records). The clip, which can be seen HERE, features the band performing the song live at Capitol Studios in Hollywood, CA.
“To us, ‘Warmth’ is the centerpiece of Wild World,” says Dan Smith, Bastille’s vocalist/songwriter. “It’s a song about watching the news and seeing things unfurl across the world that seem kind of mad and overwhelming, and so turning off the TV, going out and losing yourself in someone because you don’t know how else to react. It’s a song that has kept ringing more and more true as we’ve played it throughout the year.
“We wanted to strip ‘Warmth’ back to present it in a way that shows off the emotion of the song, and we were lucky enough to record this version at the legendary Capitol Studios with a brilliant strings section. It’s great to finally be able to release it because it’s an important song to us and we’re really proud of this version.”
“Good Grief” – the opening track and first single from Wild World charted at No. 1on Mediabase’s Alternative Airplay chart. It is the band’s second chart-topper at Alternative radio. The 5x Platinum single “Pompeii,” from Bastille’s 2013 debut album, Bad Blood, topped the Alternative chart for four weeks in the fall of 2013. “Good Grief” has more than 100 million streams globally to date, including over 20 million in the U.S. alone. Views for the official “Good Grief” videoexceed nine million.
Wild World, which is available HERE, debuted in the Top 5 of the Billboard 200 and spent two weeks at No. 1 on the U.K. albums chart. It follows Bad Blood, which also debuted at No. 1 on the U.K. albums chart, and has since sold more than four million albums worldwide alongside 11 million singles.

Bastille will bring the “Wild, Wild World Tour” to North American in early 2017. The extensive run will kick off on March 24 and include a March 30 show at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. Citi is the official credit card of the “Wild, Wild World Tour.”
