BAHAMAS REVEALS ANIMATED VIDEO FOR “BITTER MEMORIES”
BAHAMAS IS AFIE NATIONAL TOUR KICKS OFF NOVEMBER 11 IN VANCOUVER, BC

Thursday, September 24, 2015 // Toronto, ON – Celebrated songwriter Afie Jurvanen, also known by his stage moniker Bahamas, has released a new video for the song “Bitter Memories” from his JUNO Award-winning album Bahamas is Afie. Created by acclaimed visual artist Heather Goodchild best known for exhibits at the Art Gallery of Ontario and the Textile Museum of Canada, the video is a stunning collection of over 1000 individual hand drawn sketches of Jurvanen, that have been animated in song.

In a recent interview with Noisey, Jurvanen commented, “my friend Heather has basically worked on everything I’ve ever done. For my first album, Pink Strat, she and I silkscreened the first two hundred covers in my living room. For my second record, she made this rug that said Barchords for that cover, and came up with that whole idea. She’s basically been involved in the general aesthetic of what I’ve been doing since the beginning.” From the new video for “Bitter Memories” from Bahamas is Afie, the individual sketches will be made available for sale to fans (while supplies last) on each of the upcoming Canadian tour dates.

All recently announced shows are on sale now. Please see full list of tour dates, on sale information and event details below. In addition to the Canadian dates, Bahamas is currently on tour in Australia and will support fellow Canadian, City and Colour, on tour in America as special guest.
