ARTIS—NAPLES ANNOUNCES 2015-16 BROADWAY SEASON
Kinky Boots, Motown The Musical, Dirty Dancing
and The Producers come to Hayes Hall
Naples, FL —Artis—Naples CEO and President Kathleen van Bergen announced the organization’s 2015-16 Broadway season today. Stretching from December through early April, the four-show series features some of the most talked-about productions of the past decade.

“I’m pleased to announce such a strong series, especially after one of the biggest Broadway seasons in Artis—Naples history,” van Bergen said. “Audiences have responded enthusiastically to our series for the past few seasons, and I believe the coming year will continue that trend.”

The season begins with the 12-time Tony-winning smash The Producers, from Dec. 26-28. Motown shattered barriers, shaped our lives and made us all move to the same beat. Now, experience it live on stage January 26-31 in the record-breaking smash hit Motown The Musical.

On March 22-27, the big-hearted, joyous musical celebration and 2013 Best Musical Tony-winner Kinky Boots hits the stage with music from Grammy Award-winning rock and pop icon Cindy Lauper. And two weeks later, April 5-10, no one will put Baby in the corner when Dirty Dancing brings this tale of young love to Hayes Hall.

Sesason tickets for renewing Broadway subscribers are on sale April 6. New Broadway subscriptions will go on sale May 18. Subscriptions range from $242 to $460. Single tickets for each production go on sale on October 13.

About the Shows

The Producers
A scheming producer and his mousy accountant aim to produce the biggest flop on Broadway in Mel Brooks’ laugh-out-loud spectacle. Bialystock and Bloom! Those names should strike terror and hysteria in anyone familiar with Mel Brooks’ classic cult comedy film. Now as a big Broadway musical, The Producers once again sets the standard for modern, outrageous, in-your-face humor. It is a truly “boffo” hit, winning a record 12 Tony Awards and wowing capacity crowds night after night.

Motown The Musical
It began as one man’s story… became everyone’s music… and is now Broadway’s musical. Motown The Musical is the true American dream story of Motown founder Berry Gordy’s journey from featherweight boxer to the heavyweight music mogul who launched the careers of Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Smokey Robinson and many more.

Kinky Boots is Broadway’s huge-hearted hit! With songs by Grammy- and Tony-winning pop icon Cyndi Lauper, this joyous musical celebration is about the friendships we discover and the belief that you can change the world when you change your mind. Inspired by true events, Kinky Boots is about Charlie Price, a man struggling to live up to his father’s expectations and continue the family business. With the factory’s future hanging in the balance, help arrives in the unlikely but spectacular form of Lola, a fabulous performer in need of some sturdy new stilettos. With direction and choreography by Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell and a book by Broadway legend and Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein, Kinky Boots is the winner of six Broadway Tony Awards including Best Musical. Take a step in the right direction and discover that sometimes the best way to fit in is to stand out. “There is no show hotter than Kinky Boots.” – CBS News
