Tampa, FL – World renowned tenor, Andrea Bocelli is pleased to announce Emmy and Tony Award winning actress and singer, Kristin Chenoweth and distinguished Soprano Nadine Sierra as guest performers for his annual Valentine’s Day performances. The three-city tour kicks off at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina on Friday, February 9 with additional dates set in Miami on February 11 and and Tampa’s AMALIE Arena on February 14, 2018 at 8:00 PM. The February 2018 shows mark the first time Bocelli has ever performed in Charlotte, his eleventh performance in eight consecutive years in South Florida for the Holiday of love, and his first performance on Valentine’s Day in Tampa.

 

In celebration of the Valentine’s holiday, Andrea Bocelli will treat fans to a unique holiday repertoire combining the most beloved arias, crossover hits and famed love songs. Bocelli will also be joined on stage by conductor Eugene Kohn and violinist Caroline Campbell at each stop on the tour.

 

Emmy and Tony Award winning actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth’s career spans film, television, voiceover and stage. In 2015, Chenoweth received a coveted star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame. In 2009, she received an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in “Pushing Daisies.” In 1999, she won a Tony Award for “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” and she was also nominated for her original role of Glinda the Good Witch in “Wicked” in 2004. Chenoweth has been nominated for two Emmy Awards and for a People’s Choice Award for her role on “Glee.” In 2009, she wrote an upliftingly candid, comedic chronicle of her life so far, “A Little Bit Wicked,” which debuted on the New York Times Hardcover Non-Fiction Best Seller List. In 2015, Chenoweth earned a Drama Desk Award, Outer Critics Circle Award and Broadway.com Audience Choice Award for her lead role in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s “On the Twentieth Century.” She also earned nominations for a Tony Award and a Drama League Award. Chenoweth has performed to sold-out audiences across the world, including performances at Carnegie Hall and Royal Albert Hall. In 2016, Chenoweth received rave reviews for her two week run of “MY LOVE LETTER TO BROADWAY”, a solo performance at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Praised for her vocal beauty, seamless technique, and abundant musicality, Nadine Sierra is hailed as one of the most promising new talents in opera today. Having recently made a string of successful debuts at the Metropolitan Opera, La Scala, Paris, La Fenice, and the Berlin State Opera, the American soprano—recently named the winner of the 2017 Richard Tucker Music Award—is quickly on her way to becoming a fixture at many of the world’s top houses. In 2016-17, Sierra returned to the Paris Opera, where she debuted as Zerlina in Don Giovanni last year, and opened its season at the Palais Garnier as Flavia in a new production of Cavalli’s Eliogabalo. Shortly after, she performed at the Opéra Bastille as Pamina in Die Zauberflöte and Gilda in Rigoletto. In 2007 and 2009 respectively, Sierra became the youngest winner to date of both the Marilyn Horne Foundation Vocal Competition and the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. In 2010 she also took home first prizes at the George London Competition, Gerda Lissner Foundation International Competition, and Loren L. Zachary Society Vocal Competition, and was a recipient of a Richard Tucker Music Foundation Study Grant. In 2013, she placed first at the Neue Stimmen, Caballé, and Dunne International Singing Competitions, and won a Richard Tucker Music Foundation Career Grant. She recently signed a joint record deal with Universal and Deutsche Grammophon, and is in the process of recording her first album.
