Amarillo Symphony Guild Receives Top TASO Awards
AMARILLO, TEXAS – (May 20, 2014) – On behalf of the Texas Association of Symphony Orchestras we are pleased to announce that The Symphony Guild has received the Texas Association of Symphony Orchestras Fundraising Award of Excellence! Symphony Guild volunteer Laura Street was also personally recognized for her volunteer efforts by TASO during the annual conference as she received the Volunteer of the Year Award.
The Amarillo Symphony Guild was recognized at the 47th Annual Conference for receiving the TASO Fundraising Award of Excellence for their Christmas Roundup Project. The Amarillo Symphony Guild Young Artist Project was also recognized as a finalist in the Education Category at the conference.
“It is exciting that our organization was recognized for all their efforts,” said LaDonna Tunnel President of the Amarillo Symphony Guild. “And no one is more deserving than Laura for all she does for the Symphony and the Community.”
Developed in 1966 to support orchestras in the state of Texas, the annual TASO conference unites approximately 150 delegates from various orchestras to gather information and network with other colleagues.
